Value Based / Risk Contracting – A Panel Discussion in Post Acute Partnerships Revenue Cycle

Describe your session in a tweet.

Embracing value-based care in post-acute settings is a game-changer!

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

Quality Over Quantity: Value-based care emphasizes delivering high-quality care that leads to better patient outcomes and experiences. It's not just about providing more services; it's about providing the right services that truly benefit the patient.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

From my perspective, as more and more services are shifting to community based or home based setting, one of the areas that continue to emerge is hospital and home programs. I think this is an area that needs continued development and use the latest technology to keep low acuity admissions as home and provide all needed support services like nursing, infusions, and other supportive services that have historically been provided in a hospital setting.

What are you passionate about outside the home and alternate site infusion industry?

I like to Golf, Read, and Horseback Riding. But when NFL and College football, I love to root for and watch my team: The Miami Dolphins and Penn State Nittany Lions!

What is your superpower?

As a healthcare executive and a physician for over 30 years, I have several superpowers, but the main one is strategic vision and having the ability to envision the future of healthcare and develop strategies to improve patient care, increase efficiency, and drive organizational success.

What additional superpower would you like to have and why?

I think in a world of health care disparities and inequities, would like to have the superpower to eliminate the inequities in healthcare.
