Topic Description : Some patients develop contact dermatitis from the constant exposure to CHG with the use of antiseptic patches at the catheter insertion site. Alternative patches with silver as the antiseptic show equivalent infection prevention without causing skin irritation. Discussion of comparison of studies of the alternative antiseptics.
