Submit to Present at NHIA 2026

Be a part of the premiere event for the home and alternate site infusion industry and share your knowledge among more than 1,600 attendees at the NHIA 2026 Annual Conference in Denver, CO April 18-22, 2026.

The conference audience spans a diverse cross section of individuals both experienced and new to home and alternate site infusion, including:

  • All roles within companies that provide home and alternate site infusion services to patients across pharmacy and nursing services
  • Representatives from the manufacturers and product and service suppliers that support the field.
  • Health systems, physicians and other health care professionals seeking the latest information, trends and opportunities for patients within home infusion.
  • Pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, dietitians and other professionals from outside the home infusion industry seeking education, career development or business opportunities in home and alternate site infusion.

Submission Deadline: June 30, 2025

All sessions are evaluated by an multidisciplinary team on the NHIA Education Committee through a blinded process.

Acceptance notifications will be sent out in September 2025.

Submissions are closed.  NHIA is currently working through the submissions and finalizing the selections.  You will be notified no later than XXX XX, 2025 if your submission was accepted.

General Information

Interactivity

NHIA is encouraging the development of engaging education and will prioritize submissions that include interactive elements planned for the education session. This could include live surveying or polling, facilitated scenarios, tabletop activities, group problem solving & discussions, integrated Q&A, quizzes, panels, etc. 

Session leaders will have access to Slido polling capabilities during their session.

Suggested topics

All topics relevant to home and alternate site infusion professionals across all roles will be considered, including clinical, leadership, nursing, revenue cycle, sales & marketing, and sterile compounding. 

NHIA encourages submissions in the following areas:

    • Implementing meaningful change beyond data analysis in a quality improvement program
    • Strategies for instilling effective change management
    • Cultivating mental resilience and reducing burnout in healthcare teams
  • Clinical
    • Medication adherence to promote positive patient outcomes
    • Meeting the unique needs of pediatric patients with special needs
  • Leadership
    • Strategies and advice for making the transition from clinician to clinical leader
    • Best practices for maintaining financial health in healthcare operations
  • Nursing
    • Navigating complex conversations and care scenarios in hospice and palliative care
    • Preventing vascular injury during home infusion therapy
    • Fostering partnerships between Home Infusion providers and certified home health agencies
  • Revenue Cycle Management
    • Tackling difficult conversations with Medicare sanctioned providers and personnel
    • AI and machine learning in revenue cycle optimization
    • Strategies for successful negotiations and sustainable relationships in contracting with payers
  • Sales/Marketing
    • Crafting the perfect elevator pitch to make your message stand out to referral sources and stakeholders
  • Sterile Compounding
    • Hazardous drug compounding best practices from receipt to disposal
    • Effective root cause analysis and CAPA planning following a cleanroom incident or excursion
    • Tactics to reduce repetitive physical injuries and maintain mental engagement among sterile compounding staff

Session types

NHIA is accepting submissions for three session types:

  1. 60-minute session – Topical breakout session that includes time for attendee questions.
  2. 30-minute session – Breakout session that provides a focused look at a key subject area.
  3. Roundtable – Informal sessions where a moderator leads discussion and collaboration around the topic submitted.

  • Session title

    Brief and engaging title that encompasses the key idea of the session.

  • Session type

    60-minute session, 30-minute session or Roundtable

  • Session topic & keywords

    Select the primary topic your education session falls into: Clinical  |  Leadership  |  Nursing  |  Revenue Cycle  |  Sales & Marketing  |  Sterile Compounding

    You will also be asked to select up to 5 keywords associated with your session.

  • Session description

    The details behind the session topic, including why it is important and valuable to a home and alternate site infusion audience.

  • Interactivity

    Brief description of any interactive elements to be used in the session. See above interactivity section for examples

  • Additional handouts/tools

    Include information on any additional resources you will provide attendees related to your topic.

  • Learning objectives

    Provide 3 learning objectives that are clear, measurable, and achievable. These objectives should highlight the key takeaways for attendees and will provide a structure for the preparation of your educational materials.

  • Faculty

    Provide faculty & co-faculty information, including name, phone, email, title, company, CV/resume, speaking history, and photo.

  • Honorarium acknowledgement

    Acknowledgement of honorarium for selected session type.
