Gene Graves Lifetime Achievement Award

Honor a Lifetime of Achievement in the Home & Alternate Infusion Industry

The Gene Graves Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) bestows on a member of the home and alternate infusion community.

The award was established in 2006, and is named for Gene Graves, a home infusion pioneer that was instrumental to the founding of NHIA in 1991. The award aims to recognize a distinguished leader within the field who has provided significant service to NHIA and whose work has contributed toward advancing the industry.

Recipients of the award embody the energy, innovative spirit, leadership, and commitment to home infusion patients. The award was first presented to its namesake, Gene Graves.

Award Criteria

An individual who:

  • Is established in their career and has made notable contributions to the home and specialty infusion field.
  • Is committed to NHIA's mission to support organizations that provide home and specialty infusion, as well as to advance infusion patient care and the field overall.
  • Is driven to excellence and leadership in advocating on behalf of home infusion patients and contributing directly or indirectly to the advancement of patient care
  • Is dedicated to leadership, partnership, or advocacy in addressing needs of home and specialty infusion.
  • Embodies integrity, innovation, and a collaborative spirit that creates a strong sense of community.

Nomination of a candidate must be made by an NHIA member.

Candidate should be a senior leader working as a practitioner; a business owner or operator; an employee of a company that is a supplier to the home infusion industry; or someone with another role in the home and specialty infusion therapy field.

A statement of nomination (no more than 200 words) outlining the outstanding contributions to NHIA and the significance of the nominee's contributions to the home and specialty infusion field.

The nominee's current curriculum vitae (if available at the time of nomination. CV can proceed submission of nomination).

The award recipient will be honored at the National Home Infusion Association's Annual Conference. The award recipient will receive complimentary meeting registration for the NHIA Annual Conference.
