Topic Description : The intake process is not routinely identified as the main reason for the success or failure of your collection results. While you need to have trained and efficient billing and collection teams, if the intake team is not extremely thorough in their processes to confirm all the fine details required for a home infusion patient, it will not only impact your cash to net revenue results, but it will also cost your organization many extra hours of the staff time to attempt to get paid on patients’ claims that were simply not vetted correctly from the start. This session will discuss some important steps during the intake process that are often overlooked or skipped for the sake of time and getting the patient on service; staffing, budgets, etc. that can result in financial loss. Being able to respond to a referral source timely is key, but ensuring you are compensated for those services is much more important!
