Focus has been on caring for the long term HPN patient. He has been involved with in the nutrition practice for the past 41 years. He has been actively involved in the leadership of ASPEN, Oley Foundation, and Vascular Access Patient Safety Alliance. His research interests include management of the HPN patient, reduction of complication risks, improving quality of life, optimizing vascular access care, and improving clinical outcomes. He has presented the results of his research at local, state, national, and international meetings. He is the author or numerous abstracts, book chapters, and journal publications. He is the 2006 recipient of ASPEN’s Distinguished Nutrition Support Pharmacist Award , awarded ASPEN Fellow, in 2019 and the 2019 ASPEN Stanley Serlick Award.
