The Road to Standardizing Cleanroom Operations

Our cleanroom suite currently utilizes 11 laminar airflow workbenches, 1 biological safety cabinet, 7 PN Compounders, 6 repeater pumps, and 16 compounding technicians. Our team is pumping out an average of 115 compounded prescriptions, or 790 individual compounded sterile preparations, a day. After an analysis of our compounding procedures found that best practices were not always being maintained, our organization assembled a management task force to break down and restructure cleanroom operations from top to bottom.
