Call for Speakers

2025 NHIA Annual Conference Speaker Submissions

Submissions are closed.  Acceptance notifications will be sent in September 2024.

Be a part of the premiere event for the home and alternate site infusion industry and share your knowledge among more than 1,600 attendees at the NHIA 2025 Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., March 29- April 2, 2025.

All speakers receive complimentary registration and honorarium. Roundtable moderators receive 50% off conference registration. 

Interactivity

NHIA is encouraging the development of engaging education and will prioritize submissions that include interactive elements planned for the education session. This could include live surveying or polling, facilitated scenarios, tabletop activities, group problem solving & discussions, integrated Q&A, quizzes, panels, etc. 

Suggested Topics

All topics relevant to home and alternate site infusion professionals across all roles will be considered, including clinical, leadership, nursing, revenue cycle, sales & marketing, and sterile compounding. 

NHIA encourages submissions in the following areas: 

  • Real-world case studies related to clinical care or business process improvements, particularly related to technology adoption;  
  • Ambulatory infusion suite education related to business operations and setup as well as unique considerations for reimbursement and clinical care. 

Session Types

NHIA is accepting submissions for three session types:

  1. 60-minute session – Topical breakout session that includes time for attendee questions.
  2. 30-minute session – Breakout session that provides a focused look at a key subject area.
  3. Roundtable – Informal sessions where a moderator leads discussion and collaboration around the topic submitted.

Submission form elements

  • Session title

    Brief and engaging title that encompasses the key idea of the session.

  • Session type

    60-minute session, 30-minute session or Roundtable

  • Session topic & keywords

    Select the primary topic your education session falls into: Clinical  |  Leadership  |  Nursing  |  Revenue Cycle  |  Sales & Marketing  |  Sterile Compounding

    You will also be asked to select up to 5 keywords associated with your session.

  • Session description

    The details behind the session topic, including why it is important and valuable to a home and alternate site infusion audience.

  • Interactivity

    Brief description of any interactive elements to be used in the session. See above interactivity section for examples

  • Additional handouts/tools

    Include information on any additional resources you will provide attendees related to your topic.

  • Learning objectives

    Provide 3 learning objectives that are clear, measurable, and achievable. These objectives should highlight the key takeaways for attendees and will provide a structure for the preparation of your educational materials.

  • Speakers

    Provide speaker & co-speaker information, including name, phone, email, title, company, CV/resume, speaking history, and photo.

  • Honorarium acknowledgement

    Acknowledgement of honorarium for selected session type.

      • $600, general conference registration, 1 night hotel
    • 30-minute session
      • $300, general conference registration
    • Roundtable
      • 50% off general conference registration

  • Disclosures

    Complete form disclosing any financial relationships or potential presentation bias.

Important note for suppliers and consultants

Due to continuing education requirements, suppliers of products and services to the home and alternate site infusion industry will be required to attest to the following terms:

This is not a company sponsored speaking opportunity and is specific to the individual speaker. The speaker or session may not be promoted or marketed in any way by their employer. Failure to comply will forfeit the speaking session. The individual speaker is welcome to publicly share they are speaking and share their session information.

General information & deadlines

The conference audience spans a diverse cross section of individuals both experienced and new to home and alternate site infusion, including:

  • All roles within companies that provide home and alternate site infusion services to patients across pharmacy and nursing services
  • Representatives from the manufacturers and product and service suppliers that support the field.
  • Health systems, physicians and other health care professionals seeking the latest information, trends and opportunities for patients within home infusion.
  • Pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, dieticians and other professionals from outside the home infusion industry seeking education, career development or business opportunities in home and alternate site infusion.


All sessions are evaluated by an multidisciplinary team on the NHIA Education Committee through a blinded process.
