Describe your session in a tweet.

Great session on optimizing infusion site of care decisions—balancing patient safety, clinical risk, payer policies, and team collaboration to deliver high quality, efficient, patient centered therapy.

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

Site of care evaluation for medication and patients require a multi-disciplinary approach to setting safe and appropriate criteria. Selling appropriate site of care should focus on key points: Patient factors, prescriber experience, medication evaluation, infusion company training/experience managing therapy.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

Topics I am passionate around related to clinical excellence and supporting quality patient experiences. Quality management, process improvement, data and metrics. I believe in leaving something better than I encountered it.

If you had a paid year off work, how would you spend it?

I would begin writing a book that documents the unique specialty/home infusion situations myself and others have encountered and supported throughout our careers. The main objective to share best practices for navigating challenges. From the beach of course.

If you had a secret identity, what would your alias be and what would you be known for?

The guardian of structure and order alias -The Architect: quiet force behind smooth-running system and successful missions. Superpower is structure, vision and order.

What’s your “it’s not a big deal, but it is” hill to die on?

People who don’t follow systems or process that I (my team) set up.
