Describe your session in a tweet.

Preparing virtual preceptors to provide outstanding support to new nurses entering the nursing infusion practice arena.

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

Best practices to prepare preceptors to be successful as a virtual preceptor and manage various challenges.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

Areas of infusion nursing that also excite me is patient education and ensuring safe practice through well-designed clinical education programs. I am currently exploring ways to successfully measure and evaluate training outcomes in a meaningful way.

What are you passionate about outside the home and alternate site infusion industry?

I am passionate about meeting the needs of special needs adults and children. Being a parent of a young adult child with Down Syndrome, I want to share my learnings, successes and failures, with parents struggling to navigate the complicated world of special needs services in the school and community. Next focus: working to find meaningful employment for people with special needs.
