Putting Data to Work to Maximize Profitability

Describe your session in a tweet

Maximizing Profitability

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

When you establish reasonable and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs); add actionable data than you can trend; and take action when necessary, you will not only improve your bottom line but have a better predictor for future cash flow.

Describe your first professional speaking experience?

My first speaking engagement to a large crowd was at NHIA in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Hilton. I had facilitated many user conference session for the company I was working for but had never spoken to such a large crowd. This was probably in the mid 1990's. There were several hundred people in attendance for this session as there were a lot less sessions to choose from back then. I was extremely nervous and I am sure it showed. It was traumatic enough that I did not want to attempt speaking again until several years later.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

I am very passionate about continually learning and educating others in the complex word of home infusion reimbursement. I have been involved in this area for more than 40 years. Yet, I never get bored. Most meaningful to me is having a position with an organization that allows me to share my expertise with many people within or outside our organization. The feedback and appreciation I receive fuels my fire and passion.

If you could add a word to the dictionary, what would you add and what would it mean?

Jealousfreesuccess: It would mean someone that could acknowledge the success of another without displaying ANY jealously/negative vibes toward the successful person. Most assuredly when someone reaches some level of success (whatever that may be), there are ALWAYS haters that will negatively comment in a public way. In my humble opinion this is done out of jealousy in that they wish they could be the one experiencing the success. Nothing frustrates me more! Just be happy for others! 🙂
