Elizabeth Boesiger, RN
Parent Caregiver/BSN Student, Colorado Family Caregivers
Describe your session in a tweet.
From having a baby with severe congenital heart disease to nurse and thriving. Navigating unknown and finding light in the dark from a caregiver perspective.
What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?
Taking care of one self prior to caring for others is the foundation for improving patient outcomes and providing quality care.
Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?
Hospital at home and infection control.
If you had a paid year off work, how would you spend it?
If I had a paid year off work, I would spend my time on a beach or boat.
If you had a secret identity, what would your alias be and what would you be known for?
If I had a secret identity, I’d be ‘Agent Heartstrong.’ I’d be known for navigating high-stakes situations with calm precision—balancing medical knowledge, advocacy, and mom intuition to protect children and families, all while making it look effortless.
What’s your “it’s not a big deal, but it is” hill to die on?
Listening to parents. It’s often brushed off as ‘not a big deal,’ but parents know when something isn’t right. Taking an extra minute to truly listen can change outcomes—and I’ll always go to bat for that.
