Speaker Spotlight: Aubrey Hersch

Aubrey Hersch, PharmD
Director of Clinical Services, Pharmacy, Soleo Health

Describe your session in a tweet.

Cleanroom chaos? The odds may never be in your favor, unless you know how to find the root cause and survive the CAPA arena. Join us for the games. #TheCAPAGames #MayTheRootCauseBeEverInYourFavor #NHIA2026

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

A corrective action and preventative action plan is only as strong as its root cause, and if it is vague, generic, or superficial, you haven't solved the real problem.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

I am very passionate about technician involvement, ensuring that technicians are empowered, valued, and working at the top of their licenses. I believe technicians are essential to the success of pharmacy operations, and when we invest in their training, involve them in quality initiatives, and fully utilize their skills, we strengthen our entire team. Expanding their role isn't just efficient, but it is impactful for patient care, staff morale, and long-term sustainability.

If you had a paid year off work, how would you spend it?

Give me a passport, a suitcase, and a fork. I would spend a paid year off traveling the U.S. and the world. Experiencing new cultures, taking in breathtaking views, walking in the footsteps of history, and trying all of the local cuisine.

If you had a secret identity, what would your alias be and what would you be known for?

The Meow-stro: has an uncanny ability to spot a cat from a block away and an inherit understanding of the exact way to approach a feline to ensure a successful petting session. Pet all the cats!

What’s your “it’s not a big deal, but it is” hill to die on?

When you are at baggage claim and everyone stands right up against the carousel making it impossible to easily grab your bag. Standing against the carousel will not, in fact, make your bag arrive faster.
