Speaker Spotlight: Ashley Banks

Ashley Banks, DNP, RN
Director of Clinical Services, Nursing Amerita

Describe your session in a tweet.

I will be discussing pediatric line care and selection.

What is the most important thing you want attendees to take away from your session?

Pediatrics are not little adults. Selecting line placement and placing a line require extra preparation.

Excluding your session, what other topics are you passionate about in relation to the home and alternate site industry?

Pediatric care in general. More and more pediatric patients are coming into the infusion space and extra training is needed.

If you had a paid year off work, how would you spend it?

Traveling to see different parts of this beautiful world.

If you had a secret identity, what would your alias be and what would you be known for?

If I had a secret identity, I would want to be Spiderman. I would want to save the world. It's not original but its true 🙂

What’s your “it’s not a big deal, but it is” hill to die on?

I have to think about this one. In nursing it usually a compliance item that is not very clear and can have interpretation.
