Dr. Kathleen Kane is the Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Compounding Integrity & Regulatory Compliance at UChicago Medicine. She oversees sterile and non‑sterile compounding operations, environmental control programs, and organizational compliance with USP / and emerging regulatory standards. With more than nineteen years of experience across community, institutional, and industry settings, she has led cleanroom design initiatives, medication‑safety improvements, and compounding workflow modernization. Dr.Kane is board‑certified in sterile compounding (BCSCP) and develops education, competency programs, and regulatory training for pharmacists, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams. She presents nationally on compounding quality, operational readiness, and workforce development, and serves as a subject‑matter expert on compounding integrity and regulatory practice. Her work focuses on building safe, inclusive, and high‑reliability compounding environments across home infusion and alternate‑site pharmacy settings.
