Leadership 30/30/30: Building the Dream Team

This session explores how intentionally designed systems, such as team structure, role clarity, communication pathways, and training, enable high-performing interdisciplinary teams in complex home infusion care. Through a real-world case study of a supply chain disruption, participants will examine how teams respond under pressure and identify strengths and vulnerabilities in their own systems. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to build resilient, adaptable teams that maintain safe, coordinated care even during operational challenges.

Learning Objectives

Describe the foundational systems required to build high-performing interdisciplinary teams in complex care environments.

Explain how leadership design of structure, roles, communication systems, and training supports coordinated team performance.

Recognize how system strengths and vulnerabilities influence team response during operational disruptions.

Identify strategies leaders can implement to strengthen team preparedness, adaptability, and resilience.

Identify common barriers to implementing these team-based practices and describe strategies to overcome them.
