Best Practices to Maintain PECs and CPECs in Sterile Compounding Suites

The quality and purity of compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) depend heavily on the cleanliness of the Primary Engineering Control (PEC). Proper cleaning and disinfecting of the PEC is essential to maintain required cleanliness levels and protect patient safety. This session will cover the required cleaning frequencies and best practice methods for disinfecting the PEC. Attendees are encouraged to bring real-world cleaning challenges for group discussion and troubleshooting.
