A Cleaner Cleanroom: Best Practices for the Sterile Compounding Cleanroom

Activity Description : The quality and safety of compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) depend heavily on a clean, well-maintained compounding environment. One of the most important ways to achieve and maintain microbiological control is through consistent, effective cleaning and disinfection of the Secondary Engineering Controls (SECs) and other cleanroom surfaces. In this presentation, we’ll discuss recommended cleaning and disinfection frequencies, practical techniques, and best practices for maintaining all surfaces within a sterile compounding cleanroom. Attendees are encouraged to bring real-world questions, challenges, and experiences for an open discussion on common cleaning issues and practical solutions.
