With the increase in biologic therapy being delivered in the home, compliance with long-term therapies is challenging. Discontinuation due to side effects, questionable efficacy, or difficulty with administration not only affects patient outcomes but also impacts revenue. This roundtable will focus on the pharmacist’s role in identifying and addressing these barriers. We will discuss strategies for proactive follow-up and assessment, patient education, side effect management, and identifying when it is appropriate to escalate to the provider in a way that builds trusting relationships with your referral sources and account executives.
