02. Engaging Learners in Home Infusion

Home infusion pharmacy offers unique learning opportunities across clinical, operational, and regulatory domains, yet students and residents are often unfamiliar with this setting. This roundtable will explore strategies to meaningfully engage pharmacy learners in home infusion, including experiential design, precepting approaches, and competency development. Participants will share best practices, challenges, and innovative teaching models to better prepare learners for future practice.

Learning Objectives

Describe the scope of pharmacy practice in home infusion and its relevance to student and resident training.

Identify strategies to design effective learning experiences in home infusion, including clinical, operational, and interprofessional aspects.

Discuss challenges and share best practices for precepting and engaging learners in the home infusion setting.
