Can you share a brief summary of what your company does and how that fits into the home & alternate site infusion industry?
3M Health Care is now Solventum.
Solventum enables better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. Building on a strong legacy of trusted innovation from 3M Health Care, Solventum delivers science‑based medical solutions that help healthcare providers across the continuum of care, especially as care continues to shift beyond the hospital.
Within the home and alternate site infusion landscape, Solventum supports outpatient and home infusion providers with solutions focused on IV site management, infection prevention, skin protection, and securement, critical touchpoints for patients receiving infusion therapy outside the acute care setting. Our portfolio, including products such as Tegaderm™ dressings and Curos™ disinfecting port protectors, is designed to support safe, consistent care as patients transition from hospital to home or infusion centers, helping providers standardize practices and reduce variability across settings.
What are you most looking forward to at the NHIA Annual Conference?
The NHIA Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to connect directly with outpatient infusion leaders, hear firsthand how the market is evolving, and better understand the real world challenges their teams are navigating as care continues to move into alternate sites.
We’re especially looking forward to meaningful conversations with clinical, operational, and procurement leaders—learning what’s working, where gaps remain, and how Solventum can continue to show up as a thoughtful, trusted partner in this space. NHIA also provides valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships with distributors and industry partners who play a critical role in supporting outpatient infusion providers.
What are the biggest challenges your customers are currently facing?
Outpatient infusion providers are navigating a complex and fast changing environment. Some of the most common challenges we hear include:
• Maintaining safety and consistency of care outside the hospital, particularly around IV site management and infection prevention
• Standardizing products and practices across multiple sites, clinicians, and care settings
• Workforce and training constraints, especially as care teams extend beyond traditional hospital based models
• Operational pressure to deliver high quality care efficiently, while managing cost and supply complexity
These challenges reinforce the need for solutions that are easy to use, supported by education, and adaptable across care settings—without adding unnecessary complexity for clinicians or patients.
